Oval cabtite pendant casting.
Use cabochons of average depth.
Cabtites are not snap-in settings, but are very easy to set.
Just insert the stone and bend the prongs down over the stone.
Closed back as shown in photo.
Made in the USA.

Would this take an Australian opal doublet well?

A:
This will work with any well proportioned cabochon. In other words, the cabochon should not be too deep because if it is, the prongs will be almost perpendicular to the stone and the stone will not be grasped securely.
