Oval snaptite earring castings with earnuts of like metal.

Sold as pairs.

All sizes are 6-prongs *except* for the 5 x 3 oval in SS and the 10 x 8 oval in both SS and GF. These 2 sizes are 4-prongs.

Most sizes/metal types are closed back. The 7 x 5 oval in GOS (14 kt. gold over silver) is open backed. The 7 x 5 oval in 14 kt. yellow gold is also open backed.

Will accommodate well proportioned stones that match size of casting; i.e., choose a 7 x 5 oval setting for a 7 x 5 oval stone.

Choose metal type and stone size from the drop down menu. If the stone size you want is not listed, it is not available in a snaptite but may be available in a pre-notched setting.

Q: Can you clarify GF ?

A: GF stands for gold filled. Any time you are not sure what SS, GF, etc. means, click on the little question mark on the product page that is at the end of "Metal Type/Stone Size". If you want more information as to what gold filled means, click on FAQ (frequently asked questions) at the bottom of the home page under links. All of the gold filled items that I sell are 14 kt 1/20 gold filled.

Q: Will an oval Star cut 6 x 4 x 3mm?

A: The stone size and setting size should match. I'm not sure what you mean by star cut, so I'm going to make a couple of assumptions here. First, I'm going to assume it's a faceted stone and not a cabochon and second, I'm going to assume the stone is oval and not in the shape of a star. in general, in order to successfully set any faceted stone, the stone must have a well defined girdle so the prongs can grasp the stone securely.

A: Yes, they are. Prices will be going up as new product comes in, but we try to keep our prices as low as possible.
